MUA Velvet Lips

Hi Guys, so today I wanted to share with you my new bargain find! The MUA Velvet  Lips  lipstick. I've recently found these £3 wonders that are changing the lipstick game, well I say lipstick these are more what I'd call a gloss, a very very thick gloss.  I was watching one of SimplyBeauty's videos ( Tasha) and she was raving about some new lip glosses she'd found and once I saw the pigmentation of her watching them on her lips I just knew I needed to go out and buy myself some. Considering this product is only £3 and from MUA I am so impressed, the colour payoff and pigmentation is literally out of this world. The staying power on these also surprised me - once these are on, they don't come off without a fight.
The shades I picked up were:
L-R: Kooky, Reckless, Moxie, Vivacity, Zest, Tranquility.
All of the swatches above were done with just one swoop! I KNOW!! They're so pigmented. My current favourite shades are Kooky and Vivacity but I'm sure now that Christmas is drawing in I'll be wearing Reckless and Moxie a lot more.

Have you tried annoys MUA's lip products?

No 7 Fanomenal Lash Serum

Hi Guys, today I wanted to share with you a new staple product in my life. My lash serum. Now a while back my eyelashes were in seriously poor condition and I needed to get my act into gear and sort them out asap.
I started to look into reviews of all the different eyelash serums out there, at this point I thought hoorah there are loads and loads out there that had incredible reviews and amazing before and after photos, however, my heart soon sank when I saw the price tags, some of the serums were as high as £90 - yikes!! Then I stumbled across a review on the No 7 Fanomenal Lash Serum. Now this review seemed pretty okay and then as I started to look more specifically into this serum I thought right I need to try this for myself , after all it was one of the cheapest serums I could find at £16, and all I could find were good reviews on it.
I went off to my local Boots and to my luck they had plenty of serums in stock. I was so excited to start using this. I put the lash serum on before I go to bed and after Ive taken of all of my makeup. After doing this for around 4-5 weeks I am pretty darn impressed at the results. As you can see below the gaps in my eyelashes have been filled and the lash it's self looks a lot stronger and healthier & before anyone says it I am NOT wearing any mascara in the after photos. I like to give you guys my true honest opinions!

I'm going to carry on using this serum as I'm so impressed with it so far - you can also use the £3 off No 7 Boots voucher on this too (woo even cheaper). One thing I will mention is that when I was looking up reviews on this product people mentioned how they had itchy eyes at night from using this, now I have very sensitive eyes and I've been fine with it but I guess it's one to watch ey'!
So if you're on the market for a new lash serum I would 100% recommend this, it literally does what it says on the tin and doesn't break the bank.

Cocoa Brown Fake Tan Review

Hi guys,
So today I thought I'd share with you  one of my new loves in life - Cocoa Brown Fake Tan*.
Now if your anything like me and you LOVE being bronzed then carrying on reading...
Now I have actually tried Cocoa Brown's tanning mousse a while back but I felt like it sort of dropped off my radar, until recently of course.
I've been using the new dark shade in the 1 hour tan mousse. Firstly I always pick up the darker shades in fake tans and to be honest most of the time I do end up being slightly orange tinted but I found with this tan as it had a sort of olive undertone I didn't get the usual 'orange' glow.
The tan says to apply it and leave it on for an hour, I left mine on for around an hour and a half and then washed it off and throughout the day I found that the tan was still slightly developing ( which I loved). The tan does say that you can leave it on for up to 3 hours for a really intense look but I found that after the hour and a half I had most definitely got darker - as you can see in my before and after photos below.

I think that this tan is great as it literally does change colour within the hour so if your ever in a rush to get ready this is perfect.

Now one thing that really suck out for me was the scent of this tan - it smells of cucumber and sort of minty which I LOVED, we all know that there's nothing worse than having a tan that smells of biscuits, we've all been there girls. So it was really refreshing to have a nice clean freshly scented tan.

Another point I like about this tan is that it's mousse, now if I had to choose one fake tan formula for the rest of my life it would be mousse, don't get me wrong I don't mind  a spray or lotion but I just find myself always reaching for a mousse option. I feel like the mousse sinks into your skin a lot smoother and it gives you less chance of having streaks.

This tan also comes with a very dark guideline colour which personally I love as I can see if I've missed anywhere!

I've been using this tan for the past week and I've been seriously loving life on the sun kissed side. The tan is only £7.99 and you can pick it up in Superdrug, Primark or the Cocoa Brown website.

Have you tried this tan yet?

First Impressions: Benefit License To Blot

Hi guys,
So today I had to share with you a new found holy grail product - I know exciting stuff!
So for my birthday my boyfriend brought me the new Benefit License To Blot. I was so excited as I'd wanted to try this for a few weeks now but just hadn't got the chance to get my hands on it.
Now let me just pre warn you this product is a serious life changer.
If you're like myself and have very oily/blotchy skin then this product will be a dream for you.
I apply this after my moisturiser and primer but before my makeup and I only apply it to my T-zone. So on a normal day after around 3-4 hours of wearing makeup my T-zone will start to 'change'  and the oh so familiar oily face blotch patches will start to appear, normally at this stage I'd go into the nearest bathroom and well it's time to re-apply the foundation and powder.
However - the first day I used the license to blot I went out for a meal and after around 5 hours of wearing the product I realised I didn't have the need to top up my makeup and I realised - THERE WERE NO BLOTCHY PATCHES - Hoorah!
So I didn't want to get my hopes up too high thinking if this this new product could be the answer to my over oily face prayers but after 3 days of wearing this product I can honestly say it's a game changer.
My face no longer blotches and I genuinely believe that this has reduced the oil in my skin and reduces the awful blotchy oily look. I'm so over the moon that I've found a product that works so well  & I would definitely recommend it to you fellow oily skinners!

You can buy the license to blot here. It's only £15.50 and it is worth every penny.
Have you tried this product yet - what are your thoughts?

Vanilla & Nutella Fudge Squares

Hi Guys!
So I've got another recipe for your today but it's a naughty one - it's 2 days before my birthday and so I thought I'd make some pre-birthday treats & the good thing about this recipe you only need a microwave to cook it.
So for this recipe your going to need:
-300g of Carnation Cook With Light Condensed Milk
-Vanilla Extract
-400g of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate
-100g Nutella
-25g of unsalted butter
- 2 packets of white chocolate buttons
Now I have to hold my hands up and admit I didn't come up with this recipe idea on my own - this was in the little Asda food magazine, however they used Baileys instead of Vanilla, I tweaked it slightly.
So to start off get all of the ingredients into a microwavable bowel - apart from the white chocolate and heat for 30 seconds in the microwave. Keep taking it in turn to heat the ingredients for 20 seconds then bring it out to stir it and then re-heat. Do this until the mixture is all blended and everything has melted together nicely.
Now get a square tin (or baking tray in my case) and line it with some greaseproof paper.
Now pour your mixture into the tray and pop it into the fridge for an hour or so until it sets and goes sort of squidgy.
Once the hour has gone by and your happy that the mixture is now set, melt the white chocolate buttons - I popped mine into another microwaveable bowel and just put it into the microwave for 30 seconds. Once the white chocolate has melted grab a spoon and drizzle quickly over the mixture. Now you can either cut up your creation now or put it back in the fridge to set longer over night and then cut it into squares in the morning, either way it works fine :).
& there you have ti some super yummy Vanilla and Nutella Fudge Squares!

Let me know if you make these delicious little squares!

Birthday Wishlist

Hi guys!
So my birthday is less than a week away *eeeek exciting!* and I thought I'd share with all a few things that I've got my eyes on!
& yes even though I am going to be 23 I still get super excited for my birthday, I think the excitement actually grows more every year - I even celebrate my dogs birthday... that just says it all.

1. The Mulberry Lily - now this is a serious wish list item. I am so in love with this bag and I want it soooo bad! But then again I know just how expensive it is and even I ( a serious shopaholic) find it hard parting with that much money just for a bag!So I have a feeling this may on my wish list for a while.

2. Lancome La Vie Est Belle perfume - now a few months back when I was with my boyfriends sister we are talking about perfumes and she showed me this perfume that she had, the Lance la vie best belle- I smelt it and OMG I fell in love. It's a very sweet heavy scented perfume but I love it and it's right up my street. I feel like I haven't had a new perfume for a while either so it's definitely time for a new one!

3. Mac Amber Times Nine palette - So I only recently caught sight of this little beauty a few days ago but I NEED to have it. This little palette has the most beautiful colours in it, it'll be perfect for travelling and I feel like it's one of those palettes that you'd turn to ALLLLL the time. I also have blue eyes and I don't think anything compliments blue eyes more than gold or coppery tones. This is definitely a must have - regardless of having a birthday or not.

4. Deliciously Ella - It's no secret that I've been trying to shift some weight and trying to live a healthier lifestyle this year. I'm always on the look out for good food bloggers or you tubers and it's only the past few months I came across Ella's instagram and I have been hooked ever since - she puts the most mouthwatering photos up I just knew when her book was released I had to have it.

5. Tiffany necklace - If you know me, you know that Tiffany will always have a place in my heart. I am so obsessed and overly in love with ALL Tiffany pieces I just couldn't not feature a piece in my birthday wish list.  Now as odd as it sounds I wanted the letter A engraved into the heart pendant, I know a lot of you are probably thinking A?! Your name is Lois - that's L. Well I know but I have so many initialled jewellery/named jewellery I wanted something slightly different, I wanted an A to represent that my boyfriend Aaron has my heart. I thought it was a pretty cute qwerky too and I'm praying that I get to see the beautiful little blue box on the 12th of June!

6. Zoeva Rose Gold Brushes - Every beauty lover will at some point in their life will want some Zoeva brushes. I keep having odd patches where I feel like I need them but I can never decide what brush set I want - after literally months of consideration my heart has landed on the rose gold set. These brushes look so beautiful and so delicate I just need them in my life.

So like I said guys these are just a few things that I'm wishing for - let me know if you have any of these things or what your wishing for your birthdays!

Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Review

Hi Guys,
so today I thought I'd do a review on the new Barry M Sunset Daylight curing nail polishes. Now when I first heard about these I instantly got super excited - as would any nail addict. I thought yay finally a gel like polish that's going to be affordable!
Now first of all let me say the colour selection for these polishes are beautiful and I literally spent about 25 minutes just staring at the Barry M stand in my local boots trying to decide what colour I liked most *did I need another pink in my life, coral would be perfect for spring, oh perfect red*
I opted for the red in the end, this one is called 'Out of my red'.

So there I was happy as can be  a new nail polish and may I add, in Boots it was buy one get one half price on Barry M, so fair to say I was pretty chuffed and excited to try out my new purchase.

When I got home I read through the instructions, 2 coats of the nail paint and then one coat of the topcoat. So I did exactly what I was directed to do and well I guess my nails were okay. I definitely didn't think it was very 'gel like' though, which is what I had expected. I also thought that the formula was very well "thin" is the only way i can describe it the polish came out almost streaky.
Anyway I thought although it wasn't what I expected at least I have a nice new red shiny nail polish.  Now comes the bad part.... literally within 4/5 hours I noticed one of my nails had chipped at the end, hmm I thought maybe this was a one off but by the time my day had ended and I was ready for bed I looked down to find an appalling set of nails. So many different nails had now chipped and my nail polish looked like I'd had it on for weeks not a day?!
So I took it all off and thought I'll try again tomorrow - maybe I read the directions wrong?
Well tomorrow came and I sat down and re-read the directions and again did exactly what it said but this time added a second top coat, but low and behold when it reached the end of the day some of my nails had chipped. I was so disappointed as this was a product that I really wanted to love! the Gelly Barry M nail polishes are some of my favourite formulas and I guess it just gave me really high expectations for this new Sunset range.
Now although I was extremely disappointed with how the polish turned out on my nails - one thing I'll add is that I also applied this polish to my toes and 6 days later they are still intact and have NO chips ...I repeat NO CHIPS! So I can totally understand why there has been so many mixed reviews on these polishes. The more I think about it, on my toes they come into contact with nothing whereas my fingers, well I type in my everyday job, I go to the gym and I wash up - 3 big factors which don't mix well with nicely painted nails.
So my advice to you would be if you have a very relaxed lifestyle and don't wash up go for it! Or if you want a nice nail polish for your toes this is definitely the polish for you, however if your an action girl who does a bit of anything and everything then I'd stay clear ...unless you like the chipped effect!

P.S Mammaful Zo also did an amazing review on these polishes if you want another view on them! You can find it here!

Strawberry Delight

Hi Guys!
So this post is one of my first for my healthy living posts and I thought I'd start with a yummy recipe. Now if you know me guys you'll know I'm no Jamie Oliver but if I can do this then so can you.
It was one of my friends that originally showed me this little recipe from an instagram page and immediately I thought wow I need to make this!  I changed the original recipe slightly but the outcome was amazing and the best part this is a totally guilt free delight.

So what you'll need:
-Oats
-Banana
-Yoghurt
-Honey
-Strawberries

Now this little delight only takes around 5 minutes to make and it's super easy!
First mix half a banana with 2 tbsp of oats and mush them both together. Now place the mixture into a little microwaveable container, this could be any small pot, I used a small rectangle plastic box.

Now microwave for around 1 - 2 minutes. Take it out and just leave it to cool down for a few moments.

As the mixture is cooling, decide what you want for your filing. I chose fat free vanilla yoghurt and honey. The original recipe did use peanut butter but I'm definitely not a fan so I cut this bit out!
Now take your mixture out of it's container and onto a plate, the mixture should have hardened so it'll be quite easy to move around. Then once on the plate pour in the yoghurt to your inside of the picture frame, then add some honey and top with some sliced strawberries.

DONE!

See I told you this was a nice quick and easy recipe. Then when you cut into your little treat the contents will ooze out - yummy! You can have so much fun with this recipe and change up the ingredients - if your feeling a little naughty too you can add a teeny bit of butterscotch syrup over the top!

Let me know if you guys try this out at home!

Younique Pigments

Hi Guys,
So in today's post I thought I'd share with you some new little treasures I've found; The Younique Moodstruck Mineral Pigments...basically eye pigments. Now I'm sure by now you will have heard of the infamous Younique brand, mainly known for it's 3D mascara well I decided to try their pigments and boy oh boy am I impressed.
I decided to get a nice mix of colours and a range of shimmer and matte so I can create  a variety of looks. These little beauties are kind of pricey at £10 a pop but Younique had an offer of 3 for £27 so I couldn't really turn it down now could I?! I'm Such a sucker for makeup deals.
The colours I brought were (from top left to bottom right): Giddy, Confident, Sexy, Infatuated, Curious and Daring. Curious is definitely my favourite colour by far it has the most beautiful iridescent shine to it - this is a real princess shade.

I swatched all of the pigments using a primer but just look how beautiful they are! Curious and Sexy are most definitely my favourite colours, they are just the perfect highlight shades.
The pigments blend beautifully and they're really easy to build up, I'll hopefully be doing a makeup tutorial using these little treasures - so watch this space!
you can buy the pigments HERE .
