'Flowers can't solve problems, but they're a great start'

Bloomin' Wonderful.

Earlier on this year my cousins asked if I wanted to join them on going to a flower arranging class, hmm I'd never been to a flower arranging class before, the only flower arranging I'd ever done come to think of it was pulling out the weeds from my dogs fur after she's had an adventurous run in the fields!

I agree'd and off we went one evening into the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham, I didn't really know what to expect, I always feel a little anxious inside when I'm going to do something for the first time. My cousins and I arrived at the chosen venue and walked up some stairs, there was a little sign which indicated the way into the room set aside for the class. My cousin opened the door and instantly I was hit with the most beautiful scents, I didn't know what had hit me I felt like I'd walked into some sort of Narnia full of colour and sweet fresh smells. All the anxiety I had went right out the window there and then I was in awe of all these beautiful flowers surrounding me!

After a few minutes had passed and the room had filled, full of equally excited women, a voice arose from the middle of the room welcoming everybody. The voice belonged to Katy. Katy is who sets up the flower arranging classes and has her own little flower studio called Bloom Collective. Bloomin' brilliant is what she is! She continued to explain the class and gave a demonstration, giving key tips for creating the perfect bouquet. The thing I loved about Katy and this class, there were no rules, there was no wrong or rights, you could do any and everything - you were the designer and the judge of your own bouquet.

Katy had laid out numerous plants, flowers and greenery all along the room and she allowed everyone in the class to chose whichever materials they desired to create their own bespoke bouquet. She came around to chat to everyone and helped when needed. It was fabulous, I completely lost track of time my mind was completely indulged in this new world of blooming tulips and eucalyptus stems.

The class started to come to a close and people started to tie up their bouquets and leave, my cousins and I got Katy to tie and wrap our bouquets and off we went all with equally big smiles on our faces. I couldn't quite believe how fascinated I was with what had just happened, I mean how did arranging flowers in my hand create such happiness - madness I tell you!

Anyway one of my cousins quite clearly saw how much I enjoyed Katy's class, as for my birthday she brought us tickets to a wreath making class. FYI - What a good present! However my birthday was in June...I always associated wreaths with Christmas, but hey I thought at least I'll be the first to get their christmas wreaths on the door.

This time Katy's class was in the Mailbox in Birmingham, I then learnt all of her classes are in different venues all around Birmingham - quite exciting really. Katy recognised my cousin and I as we walked into her class and we said our hellos, but my attention was already drifting, the flowers in my surroundings were not holly berries or ever greens, these were pink and purple and yellow flowers, rainbows of colours, a hundred varieties of different greens dotted everywhere - this was not a christmas wreath class but a Spring wreath class. Who knew wreaths aren't just for Christmas ey'!

The class was brilliant, just as the first was, I had so much fun learning about how to intertwine all the different types of flower and such into the wreath template. Again there was no right and no wrong and this what I absolutely LOVE about Katy's classes, she gives you the complete freedom to be comfortable in creating what you believe is perfect for you.

I've loved going to Bloom Collectives Flower Class's and my cousin and I are hoping to book onto her Christmas wreath class! If you're interested in flower arranging, creating wreaths or just want to go out and do something different and put a smile on your face then I would highly recommend trying out Katy's class if your in the West Midlands area.

Here's Bloom Collective's website, go and check it out, Katy is such a talented florist and she also does wedding and events.

Have you ever been to a flower arranging class before - let me know if you have, as I bloomin' LOVE them!
P.S my Spring wreath is STILL going strong in September - all the flowers used have dried beautifully!

Dog Friendly Dining

Hi Guys,
So todays post is about my favourite pub, I love it so much I felt the need to share it with you all!     Tom O'the Wood Country Pub and Restaurant is in Rowington (heres the exact location to be precise: Finwood Road, Rowington, Warwickshire, CV35 7DH). Me and my partner stubbled across this place by fluke just over a year ago, we were walking down the canal and wanted some good grub in our bellies and to our surprise we found this place still open and serving food after 9pm! So we went in and we've been hooked ever since. The first thing I need to tell you is that this pub is dog friendly, yep you read that right ITS DOG FRIENDLY! For someone like me who prioritises their dog over anyone and everything I was overjoyed to find I could have my dinner with my beautiful doggie sat by my side.

Tom O'the Wood is dog friendly and even has cute little treats for the dogs that go in, there are three sections of this pub, there is the restaurant where dogs cannot go and then theres the conservatory restaurant where the dogs are allowed to roam, and a bar and lounge area in-between connecting the two areas- I personally prefer the conservatory settings as you can look out onto the gardens and canal.
The owners dog also makes a frequent appearance which I love, his name is Boris and he's a beautiful pooch, when I first took Molly in I was a bit apprehensive seeing other dogs in there not knowing how Molly would react but the owner lead Molly in to meet Boris and made sure Molly felt comfortable, she even went into the kitchen and brought out some steak for her (spoilt dog!).

Now I don't just love this place because I can take my dog with me ( although that is a major winning point for me) I also love the food there, whether its a Thursday night pie, Fridays Fish and Chips or just a cheeky pudding on a weekend evening I love it all. I have quite literally tried almost all of the menu and I have never complained, (the daily homemade soup is amazing!).
Another great factor about this place is that all of the food is sourced from local suppliers and farms and everything is homemade - and we all know you can't beat home made food.

This place is great all year round too, whether your going in the winter for a nice cup of tea sat on the couch or going in the Summer and sitting in the garden with a beer and Tom O'the Wood chicken in a basket (also one of my favourites) it never seems to fail me. This place is always thriving too and being a dog owner I always meet other dog owners or people who want to start conversation by talking about Molly - it just brings a great friendly atmosphere.  They also have live music nights, so its a great place to go for night out and let your hair down.

The location of this pub is also great, me and my partner love to walk the canals with Molly and go into the countryside now and then ( Sheldon doesn't really have too much greenery!) and its perfect to be able to go for a long walk and come back to a nice cold drink watching the sun set and relaxing.

I've recommend this place to countless friends and family and me and my partner come here all the time; birthdays, valentines day, dates nights - you name it and we're there. I really can't express how much I love this place and I just needed to share it with you all!
Here are a few photos from my last visit and let me tell you that Oreo Creme Brûlée went down very nicely :) Let me know if you pop up and take a visit, I'd love to know what you think.

MUA Velvet Lips

Hi Guys, so today I wanted to share with you my new bargain find! The MUA Velvet  Lips  lipstick. I've recently found these £3 wonders that are changing the lipstick game, well I say lipstick these are more what I'd call a gloss, a very very thick gloss.  I was watching one of SimplyBeauty's videos ( Tasha) and she was raving about some new lip glosses she'd found and once I saw the pigmentation of her watching them on her lips I just knew I needed to go out and buy myself some. Considering this product is only £3 and from MUA I am so impressed, the colour payoff and pigmentation is literally out of this world. The staying power on these also surprised me - once these are on, they don't come off without a fight.
The shades I picked up were:
L-R: Kooky, Reckless, Moxie, Vivacity, Zest, Tranquility.
All of the swatches above were done with just one swoop! I KNOW!! They're so pigmented. My current favourite shades are Kooky and Vivacity but I'm sure now that Christmas is drawing in I'll be wearing Reckless and Moxie a lot more.

Have you tried annoys MUA's lip products?

MAC Amber Times Nine

Hi guys.
So today I thought I'd share a new little gem with you all - the Mac Amber Times Nine Palette. Now this palette is perfect for everything and everyone - seriously.

1. The colours in this palette are insanely beautifully - especially for blue eyes.
(Cozy Grey, Kitties, Georgia Peach, Rice Paper, Creative Copper, Cork, Don't Tell, Aromatic, Pepper Please).

2. The eyeshade type, in this mix of 9 you have some matte, shimmer and glitters - perfect!

3. The size of this palette is a dream - it's a true pocket sized treasure. If your a regular traveller or like to take your eyeshadows out with you for top ups then you'll love this palette.

4. The price. For all 9 of these eyeshadows it's £30, now I know I hear you saying 'but it's a small palette' well yes but I still think for 9 eyeshadows in a compact it's a pretty darn good price, especially for MAC.

I got this palette for my birthday and I am so so so in love it!
Let me know if you have this palette or your views on this?

First Impressions: Benefit License To Blot

Hi guys,
So today I had to share with you a new found holy grail product - I know exciting stuff!
So for my birthday my boyfriend brought me the new Benefit License To Blot. I was so excited as I'd wanted to try this for a few weeks now but just hadn't got the chance to get my hands on it.
Now let me just pre warn you this product is a serious life changer.
If you're like myself and have very oily/blotchy skin then this product will be a dream for you.
I apply this after my moisturiser and primer but before my makeup and I only apply it to my T-zone. So on a normal day after around 3-4 hours of wearing makeup my T-zone will start to 'change'  and the oh so familiar oily face blotch patches will start to appear, normally at this stage I'd go into the nearest bathroom and well it's time to re-apply the foundation and powder.
However - the first day I used the license to blot I went out for a meal and after around 5 hours of wearing the product I realised I didn't have the need to top up my makeup and I realised - THERE WERE NO BLOTCHY PATCHES - Hoorah!
So I didn't want to get my hopes up too high thinking if this this new product could be the answer to my over oily face prayers but after 3 days of wearing this product I can honestly say it's a game changer.
My face no longer blotches and I genuinely believe that this has reduced the oil in my skin and reduces the awful blotchy oily look. I'm so over the moon that I've found a product that works so well  & I would definitely recommend it to you fellow oily skinners!

You can buy the license to blot here. It's only £15.50 and it is worth every penny.
Have you tried this product yet - what are your thoughts?

Top 4 Things About Leaving Home

Hi Guys!
So Today I thought I'd do a post about my top 4 things on moving out and going into your own home.  Now number 1 has to be decorating.  Your house means your rules which in my case means I can have as many cute accessories as I can get my hands on! When your living with your parents it's hard trying to fit so many cute little decor pieces into one room - and it starts to clutter things up. But in your own home you have the freedom and the choice of  as many rooms as you wish to put whatever you want, wherever you want. I personally love having flowers around and the more vibrant the better. I also love candles although this may just be a  winter phase!

2. FOOD! Remember the days when you'd go home and moan to your parents as to why there was no good snacking food around? Well those days are over, now you do the food shop which means you choose everything. Right now my house is full of perfectly suitable 22 year old food - consisting of the likes of Nesquick, amazing chocolatey cereals, excessive amounts of Nutella jars - you get the drift! All the main food groups are clearly ticked off in my household...!

3. Serious Netflix days, these may last for hours or sometimes even days. Remember there are no rules now, no curfews, no trying to be quiet as to not wake anyone up, nothing - the world is your oyster. There is nothing better than finding a new series to binge watch and what's even better is there is no one who's going to moan at you for hogging for the tv. I'll be honest I have had some serious tv binge times e.g watching all 9 series Geordie Shore in the space of 3 weeks. Yikes.

4. Now before moving out, I had to cram all of my makeup and beauty related products into one room - my bedroom. This really sucked as my room got cluttered very quickly. But now I have a whole room dedicated to beauty! It is such a life saver having one room just for my make-up and hair care and nail polishes - it's literally like my little room of heaven. Sometimes I'm in there for hours and my boyfriend will come looking for me asking what have I been doing? Most of the time I'm re-arranging my nail polishes - such an exciting life I lead!

So guys I just thought I'd share a few highlights of flying the nest and showing that it's not so scary after all :)

Primark Skincare Range

Hi guys!
Today's post is going to be my first impressions/review on the Primark skin care range; P.S I Love Your Skin. If you follow me on twitter you'll know how much I've been moaning about my skin recently and how bad it's got! So I have literally gone skincare mad and brought anything and everything insight to try and sort out my face and to my great pleasure when I was Primark last weekend I came across the Primark skincare range - hoorah!
I thought great, a large range of products and it's only going to cost me around £10 for the lot - yep you read that right boys and girls - TEN POUNDS!
All of the products that I brought were;
- Gentle Facial Wash
-Oil Balancing Face Scrub
-Gentle Daily Moisturiser
- 8 Hour Deep Hydration Mask
- 8 Hour Deep Moisturising Cream
- 24 Hour Deep Hydrating Cleansing Lotion

I have used the majority of these products everyday or at least every other day for just over a week and If I'm really honest...I actually think they've made a difference to my skin! I've had really bad small spots on my forehead and really oily eyes and chin area - which is very odd as I've never had skin this bad before?
But as of yesterday I noticed that 1. the spots were almost completely gone, 2. my eye area was infact normal and not over oily and 3. my chin area had completely cleared up! Now for me this is a clear sign that these products are working wonders with my skin.
Okay first things first the packaging is beautiful - pastel lace ...need I say more?! All of the products smell of what I can only describe as the Body Shop Vitamin E Creams - I know very odd comparison but I swear they have the exact same scent. It smells very clean, fresh but not over powering, it's almost a comforting scent.  I think it's because these products include such a fantastic range of ingredients some including Vitamin E, Seaweed, Aloe, Tee Tree and Zinc.
A lot of the products are 'Gentle' to the skin as well which I love and truly believe - the face wash doesn't lather over excessively, the face scrub doesn't feel like your rubbing sandpaper over your face and the hydration mask doesn't make you feel like your face has been pied with a bucket of oil. Trust me  I have tried products that really do make my skin feel like those things.
Through out the week I just kept thinking to myself how were these products so cheap? It seemed like things were just too good to be true - Have I really found a new skincare regime that works and is only £10?! *Maybe I really do have a fairy godmother out there*

Now If I had to recommend my top three products it would be;
1. Oil Balancing Face Scrub
2. 24 Hour Deep Hydrating Cleansing Lotion
3. Gentle Daily Moisturiser
Don't get me wrong I enjoy all of the products but these three I really think are the Dream Team.

The Face Scrub is something that I haven't really come across before, previously when I've used a face scrub they tend to be quite harsh with quite large pieces of salt/beads inside - often making this irritate your skin more. But this scrub looks and feels just like a lotion but includes teeny tiny beads and believe it or not these actually do make a difference although they feel soft on my face I feel like it helps to get into my pores and help with the battle of the blackheads.
The Cleansing Lotion blew me away completely, it is currently my number 1 make-up remover. It includes Moroccan and Argan Oil which I found very interesting as I've only ever used oils in my hair but clearly it works wonders for the face too!  It's so soft and gentle yet it removes the reddest of lipsticks, the blackest most waterproof mascara and it even gets rid of my eyebrows - trust me that ain't an easy product to get off at the end of the day!
And Finally the Daily Moisturiser. Now if you watch my videos you'll know that my one true love is the Nivea Express Hydration Primer but I think that this Primark Moisturiser is going to be a big bit of competition. I love it just as much as my Nivea Primer. It doesn't make my face feel 'wet' after using it and the product soaks in perfectly to my skin giving me a really refreshed smooth finish. You only need a tiny piece and trust me it goes along way. I've been using this when I wake up and before I put on my makeup and well it seems to be doing a pretty good job. This is also dermatologically tested - thats always a good thing!
So this what my first impressions/review of the new Primark Skincare range. Have you tried any of these products - whats' your favourite piece? :)
